    At a recent meeting of the Louisiana House of Representatives Rural Caucus, officers for 1999 were elected by Caucus members. Caucus members elected are state Rep. Herman R. Hill, D-Dry Creek, chairman; state Rep. Bryant Hammett, D-Ferriday, vice chairman; state Rep. Roy Quezaire, D-Donaldsonville, secretary; state Rep. Tommy Wright, D-Jena, treasurer; state Rep. Bobby Faucheux, D-LaPlace, chaplain; state Rep. Jay McCallum, D-Farmerville, parliamentarian; and state Rep. Greg Fruge, R-Eunice, sergeant-at-arms.

    The Rural Caucus, which was formed in 1979, was created to promote and better the conditions and objectives of rural areas of Louisiana. The caucus consists of 69 House members.
